The Society of Physics Students at VCU is a student-run club that aims to provide a forum for students interested in physics to meet in an informal setting.

National Organizations
- The American Institute of Physics: The AIP is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit membership corporation created to promote the advancement and diffusion of the knowledge of physics and its application to human welfare.
- The Statistical Research Center: The SRC of the American Institute of Physics has been collecting and disseminating data on the physics community for more than 50 years. Its website contains the most recent data on education and employment trends in physics, astronomy and related fields.
- The American Physical Society: The American Physical Society is a non-profit membership organization working to advance and diffuse the knowledge of physics through its outstanding research journals, scientific meetings, and education, outreach, advocacy and international activities.
