Abstract

Computers have become deeply integrated into our daily lives, with advancements in machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) enabling them to better comprehend the real world. Despite these capabilities, utilizing them for real world tasks is still inefficient, requiring frequent human intervention in the process. In this talk, I will present my group’s research on designing interactive systems that leverage AI, novel sensing, and micro-robotics to seamlessly connect the physical and virtual worlds. I will also discuss the implications and the challenges that remain in bridging these two domains.
